The top needle is made of metallic cord which I hooked in. There is yarn, fabric strips, metal cording, rhinestones and tulle used. Also a bit of red acrylic paint. tulle, rayon cord, recycled woolen skirts into fabric strips, and of course, rhinestones. Can't have a blasting off rocket rug without rhinestones. And it's all mounted on a felt backing cut with a zigzag around it.

For our daughter Shaina, when she was little.  I was afraid of her messing it up so I never put it in her room!!  Hand-hooked yarn and cut wool strips.  About 4 ft tall.
