Artwork by Vicki Stone

I find it curious how I choose which images to be done in rug hooking and which images to be done in more traditional technique. I know I enjoy the consolidation of thousands of tiny units, in this case loops to form one single image. Although the process is labor intensive, I find it challenging and relaxing at the same time. I like doing faces. I like doing hands. However, due to my fascination primarily with the physical technique of rug hooking, perhaps I will ultimately have no imagery at all, purely single color blocks of loops. Who knows, things evolve.
